Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • previous experience in bookkeeping or receptionist duties
  • medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations
  • experience performing receptionist duties in a healthcare setting
  • experience working with elderly populations
  • current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certificate or obtain within two weeks of hire
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • effective interpersonal skills
  • effective organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
  • effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • basic computer skills
  • proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • proficient with electronic medical records systems

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Updates community phone list and maintains accurate emergency contact numbers
  • receives, sorts, and forwards incoming mail and packages
  • processes outgoing mail
  • opens and routes accounts payable and AIR documents
  • organizes, files, and maintains all business office records
  • assumes responsibility for designated clerical and receptionist duties at the front desk
  • receives incoming telephone calls, screens and connects to appropriate personnel
  • greets and directs visitors and salespersons
  • monitors building safety and initiates emergency responses
  • orders, stocks, and maintains office supplies and equipment
  • maintains accurate participant and personnel contact records
  • ensures quality customer service to residents, families, and staff
  • maintains up-to-date documentation in participants' electronic medical records
  • participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • attends in-service training and staff meetings
  • performs other duties as assigned
