Job Requirements
- Active paramedic licenses in AZ, CA, and NV
- FP-C certification
- NRP certification
- current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- trauma course certification (PHTLS, TPATC, or equivalent)
- weight not exceeding 225 pounds including gear
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum three years recent 911 experience
- one year full-time flight paramedic experience
- ability to work flexible schedule including 24-hour shifts
- dependable and self-motivated
- current NRP and National Registry credentials
- completion of NIMS training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat
- additional state or county credentials as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum three years' recent experience in busy 911 system
- one year full-time flight experience
- active paramedic licensure in AZ, CA, and NV
- FP-C certification
- NRP certification
- current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or equivalents
- trauma course certification such as PHTLS, TPATC, or equivalent
- proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including 24-hour shifts and on-call
- dependable and self-motivated
- maintains positive interpersonal relationships
Job Duties
- Provides pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to patient handover
- practices within scope of practice as defined by state regulations and Air Methods CBS
- maintains documentation of patient care, licensure, certifications, and training
- manages and maintains medical equipment and supplies on aircraft
- participates in patient and institution follow-up and education
- attends pre-mission briefings and assists pilot as needed
- serves as a flight resource for neonatal and pediatric transport
- models clinical excellence and participates in departmental activities
- performs other duties as assigned
