Job Requirements

  • Active paramedic licenses in AZ, CA, and NV
  • FP-C certification
  • NRP certification
  • current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
  • trauma course certification (PHTLS, TPATC, or equivalent)
  • weight not exceeding 225 pounds including gear
  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years recent 911 experience
  • one year full-time flight paramedic experience
  • ability to work flexible schedule including 24-hour shifts
  • dependable and self-motivated
  • current NRP and National Registry credentials
  • completion of NIMS training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat
  • additional state or county credentials as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years' recent experience in busy 911 system
  • one year full-time flight experience
  • active paramedic licensure in AZ, CA, and NV
  • FP-C certification
  • NRP certification
  • current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or equivalents
  • trauma course certification such as PHTLS, TPATC, or equivalent
  • proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • strong critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including 24-hour shifts and on-call
  • dependable and self-motivated
  • maintains positive interpersonal relationships

Job Duties

  • Provides pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to patient handover
  • practices within scope of practice as defined by state regulations and Air Methods CBS
  • maintains documentation of patient care, licensure, certifications, and training
  • manages and maintains medical equipment and supplies on aircraft
  • participates in patient and institution follow-up and education
  • attends pre-mission briefings and assists pilot as needed
  • serves as a flight resource for neonatal and pediatric transport
  • models clinical excellence and participates in departmental activities
  • performs other duties as assigned
