Job Requirements

  • Active AZ, CA, NV Paramedic licenses
  • FP-C certification
  • NRP certification
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
  • Advanced trauma course (PHTLS, TPATC or equivalent)
  • Weight not to exceed 225 pounds including gear
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including 24-hour shifts
  • Minimum of two 24-hour shifts weekly
  • Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time
  • High critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in fast-paced environments
  • Maintain professional interpersonal relationships
  • Dependable and self-motivated

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years related experience and/or training
  • Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
  • Minimum three years recent experience in a busy 911 system
  • Minimum one year full-time flight experience
  • Licensed EMT-P in applicable states
  • National Registry certification
  • FP-C certification required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent
  • Advanced trauma course certification
  • Current NRP certification
  • NIMS training including IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Job Duties

  • Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to patient handoff
  • Maintain thorough patient care documentation
  • Practice within state scope and Air Methods CBS guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing education and competency development
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings and comply with safety standards
  • Function as a resource in neonatal/pediatric transport
  • Participate in team communication, pre-mission briefings, and post-mission debriefings
  • Serve as a role model, educator, and clinical resource
  • Engage in departmental activities, projects, and committees
  • Other duties as assigned
