Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Possess a food handler's card
- Possess an alcohol awareness card
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months experience as a cocktail and/or food server preferred
- Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of beverages on menu, liquor brands, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
- Able to lead and mentor a team
- Highly motivated and energetic personality
Job Duties
- Takes beverage order and relays it to bartender
- Notifies bartender when beverage is a comp or charge item
- Collects order from bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins
- Computes bill and accepts payment as needed
- Up-sells liquor
- Collects money for drinks served
- Comps players drinks in accordance with house rules
- Suggestive sells specialty and house cocktails, beers and wines
- Thorough knowledge of liquor types
- Thorough knowledge of in-house liquor, beer and wine selection
- Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned
- Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen
- Other duties as assigned
