Job Requirements
- Valid drivers license required
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing, walking on uneven surfaces
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and exert up to 20 pounds of force
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience in a hotel environment
- Experience or training in commercial refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, air conditioning, building construction, carpentry, fire systems, sewer and water systems, electrical breakers, janitorial services, energy conservation, environmental, hazardous waste, hygiene and sanitation
- Proven ability in maintenance and repairs of hotel infrastructure systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Knowledge of safety standards and emergency response
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Provide high level customer service and attend to guest needs
- Lead and oversee daily activities of the maintenance team including providing support and training
- Assist General Manager in implementing maintenance programs and benchmarking processes
- Manage staffing and coordinate team schedules
- Communicate effectively with team and hold regular staff meetings
- Manage time and attendance records and ensure compliance with policies
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs
- Ensure proper operation of utility distribution systems
- Assist with daily operational tasks such as trash removal and grounds upkeep
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records
- Provide guest transportation as needed
- Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies
- Perform additional duties assigned by Property Managers
