Job Requirements
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to judge distance
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must be able to attain and sustain an airport I.D. badge
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- General technical knowledge of conveyor systems preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and initiative
- Customer and service oriented
- Flexibility with time and ability to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs
Job Duties
- Check baggage into the system when received from interline or other input points, ensure proper placement and tagging of baggage
- Ensure baggage transport tubs are used and cleaned of previous bar-coded tags
- Gather baggage transport tubs from distribution points and return to input points
- Operate and monitor the conveyor belt system to maintain proper spacing and alignment of bags
- Manually move baggage in the event of a system outage to maintain workflow
- Provide customer service by directing and handling passenger baggage to the appropriate airport locations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the immediate work area and bag room as required
