Job Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of safety construction experience
  • experience with general contractors preferred
  • OSHA 500 or 510 certification preferred
  • mission-critical data center experience preferred
  • local to the site or willing to relocate
  • demonstrated experience with OSHA and local authorities
  • 100 percent dedication to the project and client

Job Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of safety construction experience with an owner, operator, or general contractor
  • solid construction background with general contractor experience preferred
  • OSHA 500 or 510 certification preferred
  • experience in mission-critical data center projects preferred
  • demonstrated experience dealing with OSHA and local authorities having jurisdiction
  • strong communication and safety coaching skills
  • ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
  • proficiency in reviewing and developing EHS plans

Job Duties

  • Routinely monitor the general contractor's EHS performance to ensure compliance with practices, procedures, regulatory requirements, and contract deliverables
  • interface and support the construction management team by delivering current data on EHS performance including trending, incident management, and metrics
  • participate in safety meetings and communication methods to disseminate relevant EHS information site-wide
  • conduct daily walkabouts and safety tours with the general contractor and owner representatives
  • act as coach and advisor to the safety committee
  • support risk and hazard assessments
  • participate in significant incident investigations and significant potential event analyses
  • immediately report any non-compliance by contractors to management
  • ensure accuracy and completeness of EHS data and KPIs submitted by the general contractor
  • conduct monthly EHS evaluations of the general contractor
  • issue weekly EHS summaries
  • oversee execution of the Boots on the Ground program
  • participate in progress and schedule meetings where EHS matters arise
  • assist in design reviews throughout the project lifecycle including planning, permitting, construction, and handover
  • support development of the EHS plan
  • identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational EHS risks
  • assess alignment of existing EHS programs with regional strategies and analyze efficiencies to be gained
