Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for relevant state
- One month related experience or training
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to understand simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math including monetary calculations
- Ability to understand 24-hour time and rates
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal services principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence and memos
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money and comprehend 24-hour time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to parking time
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely and slowly
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks only after receiving keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
