Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent
  • Knowledge of customer and personal services
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time
  • Ability to operate manual transmission desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts
  • Able to travel up to 5 percent

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in the applicable state or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English language
  • Ability to present information effectively to guests, clients and coworkers
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly manner and guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location while practicing proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles with caution and assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries, provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue and collect claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles as needed
