Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent
- Knowledge of customer and personal services
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time
- Ability to operate manual transmission desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts
- Able to travel up to 5 percent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in the applicable state or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English language
- Ability to present information effectively to guests, clients and coworkers
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly manner and guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location while practicing proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles with caution and assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries, provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved places
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
- Issue and collect claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles as needed
