Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work overnight shifts Monday through Sunday
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical activities such as climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling and crouching
- Ability to follow established practices and procedures
- Ability to make decisions within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines
- Availability for travel up to 5 percent
- Ability to lift and handle luggage
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet and use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully and promptly while assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue and collect claim checks after vehicle key exchange
- Complete and maintain all ticket information accurately including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location and damage survey
- Calculate and collect parking revenue as needed
