Job Requirements

  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing or walking 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday
  • hand use involving single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures including freezing, refrigerator, and high heat conditions
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Qualifications

  • 6-12 months retail experience
  • thorough product knowledge
  • working knowledge and application of merchandising expectations within the department
  • working understanding of and compliance with WFM quality goals, policies, and procedures
  • basic math skills for recipe conversions and modifications
  • ability to use point of sale electronic systems
  • strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully

Job Duties

  • Measures, mixes, and prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
  • Forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough
  • Monitors cooking completion times and sets heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
  • Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards
  • Ensures temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed
  • Provides excellent customer service and addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
  • Maximizes sales potential through prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
