Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in food and beverage service at a luxury hotel or restaurant
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible availability including AM, PM, weekends and holidays
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Commitment to high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Ability to follow hotel safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must attend all required meetings and training
  • Ability to handle problems proactively
  • Willingness to cross-train in other hotel related areas
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • 2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience at a luxury hotel or restaurant
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets
  • Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
  • Work in a tidy and organized manner
  • Handle cash transactions when required
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist
  • Ensure that all Private Dining equipment is well maintained
