Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in food and beverage service at a luxury hotel or restaurant
- Ability to stand for entire shifts and perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability including AM, PM, weekends and holidays
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
- Commitment to high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ability to follow hotel safety regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must attend all required meetings and training
- Ability to handle problems proactively
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel related areas
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- 2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience at a luxury hotel or restaurant
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets
- Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
- Work in a tidy and organized manner
- Handle cash transactions when required
- Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist
- Ensure that all Private Dining equipment is well maintained
