Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 60 lbs, bending, stooping, and climbing
- Must follow Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- Willingness to work fluctuating hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to count
- Ability to work cohesively as a team member
- Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
Job Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest departure
- Dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures, and ceiling fans
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and shampooing carpets as needed
- Organizing and stocking guest convenience items such as soap, shampoo, lotion, coffee, tea, and stationery
- Changing linens and towels, ensuring cleanliness and freshness
- Removing waste from bins and ashtrays, adhering to health and safety and recycling regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils using industrial dishwasher and hand polishing
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, including industrial kitchen appliances
- Assisting with food storage, rotation, and preparation including salad preparation, grilling, and garnishing
