Job Requirements
- must have open overnight availability
- must be at least 18 years of age
- authorized to work in the United States
- must have access to reliable transportation
- must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- must secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- must wear proper uniform attire and mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
- must be capable of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, and pushing for extended periods
- must be able to walk and climb stairs to access planes and disposal areas
- able to work in confined and small spaces
- able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- willing to work in outdoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures
- must clock in/out at the beginning and end of shifts
- valid driver's license required to operate vehicles or equipment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior supervisory experience in cleaning or aircraft services preferred
- strong leadership and team management skills
- ability to read and understand flight schedules
- knowledge of safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment
- valid driver's license required
- ability to pass FAA criminal background checks for SIDA access
- effective communication and problem-solving skills
- familiarity with airport security protocols
- basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Job Duties
- perform tasks as assigned by the Station Leader as outlined in the scope of work
- remove all trash from aircraft
- clean and restock all lavatories
- clean galley, all seats, seat back pockets, tray tables, and replace soiled magazines and sick bags
- conduct thorough security searches and submit all lost and found items to the immediate supervisor
- review and adhere to safety instructions when operating and driving ground equipment
- always maintain company vehicles in a well-organized and clean manner
- assist in pre and post operation inspections (POIs) of vehicles during the assigned shift
- review posted updates on Cabin Cleaning or Ramp Operations before each shift begins
- ensure all break room areas, warehouse areas, and dock areas are clean and free of debris
- perform duties in a consistently safe manner, ensuring no damage to company vehicles, airline vehicles, equipment, or aircraft
- report any injury or property damage immediately and provide written statements as requested
- immediately notify the Station Manager of any irregular activities that may impact service to airline partners
- assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
- issue supplies and equipment
- resolve employees’ problems and/or refer matters to manager
- record employees' hours worked on shift reports
- complete all necessary AC checklists and/or documentation daily
- submit requests for repair of cleaning equipment if requested by Station Manager
- requisition or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment if requested by Station Manager
- perform all duties of Interior Aircraft Cleaners supervised
- carry out supervisory responsibilities including training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
