Job Requirements
- Must have at least one year housekeeping experience in a business environment
- Must have adequate reading and writing skills
- Must be able to stand for long durations of time
- Must be able to walk and bend frequently
- Must be willing to work in very damp locations
- Must provide on-call service to the University as needed
- Must be able to work with general cleaning chemicals and solutions
Job Qualifications
- At least one year housekeeping experience in a business environment
- Ability to perform general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, mopping, and emptying trash cans
- Adequate reading and writing skills
- Ability to stand for long durations of time
- Ability to walk and bend frequently
- Ability to work in damp locations
- Ability to use general cleaning chemicals and solutions safely
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning classrooms, kitchens, offices, corridors, and stairways
- Operate floor maintenance equipment such as power machines for stripping, refinishing, waxing, and buffing floors
- Clean and maintain washroom fixtures and surfaces
- Clean study corrals, glassware, labs, lecture halls, lounges, recreational areas, fitness centers, pool areas, game rooms, and TV lounges
- Mop floors using wet and dry mops and floor machines when needed
- Clean walls, stairways, furniture, and equipment
- Provide on-call service during critical and emergency events
- Perform other related duties as assigned
