Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in security or related field preferred
- Ability to stand sit or walk for long periods
- Capability to lift 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with help
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently
- Must be available to work overnight shifts and flexible hours
- Willingness to follow security protocols and handle emergency situations professionally
Job Qualifications
- Ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods or for entire work shifts
- Capability to lift carry push or pull objects up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in telephones email radios and reporting systems
- Detail-oriented service-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Computer proficiency and experience with security systems preferred
- First Aid CPR certification highly desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days evenings overnights weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel property including guest areas service areas and grounds to ensure safety and security
- Respond promptly to house calls guest and associate requests and emergencies providing first aid if necessary
- Accurately complete documentation including incident reports witness statements and activity logs
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems ensuring all protocols are followed and control access by issuing visitor badges and conducting bag checks
- Assist in maintaining alarm systems securing building doors service and delivery areas and ensuring fire alarm systems function properly
- Act as a point of contact during emergencies guiding guests and associates to safety and coordinating with management
- Handle disturbances calmly professionally defusing situations to maintain a peaceful environment
- Participate in daily meetings staff training sessions and communicate shift updates
- Identify report and correct unsafe conditions on the property to ensure safety
