Job Requirements
- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- Six months of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, kitchen operations, or similar
- Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred
- Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
- Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license within the assigned state
- Successful background check
- Successful alcohol and drug screening
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Job Qualifications
- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- Six months of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, kitchen operations, or similar roles
- Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred
- Ability to operate industrial dishwashing machines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills for guest interaction and team coordination
- Ability to train new employees
- Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Work as a member of a dishwashing crew ensuring soiled items are placed in proper racks or containers for dishwashing machines
- Inspect, remove, and properly store all clean items from dishwashing machines
- Wash large kitchen equipment such as steam kettles and tilt fryers that do not fit in dishwashing machines
- Wash pots, pans, and traps and maintain neatness in working and storage areas
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishware and utensils
- Supply dishware to food preparation stations and remove soiled dishware and equipment
- Keep work areas including floors, machines, shelving, and carts clean at all times
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as polishing silver, working in storerooms, and preparing for banquets or special events
- Maintain proper organization including rack stacking and silver presoaking and operation of dish machines
- Ensure setup, breakdown, and maintenance of special events
- Conduct special cleaning projects as assigned
- Train new stewards
- Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, flat boxes, and ceiling vents as scheduled or directed by chef
- Sweep and mop floors keeping them clean and dry
- Provide information and explain company benefits and programs to guests
- Operate dish machines following company and manufacturer specifications
- Use correct detergent and sanitizer measurements in dish machines
- Restock all kitchen items including dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
- Remove all garbage
- Break down, clean, and sanitize dish machines at shift end
- Make quick decisions regarding departmental and employee needs
- Perform related duties as required
