Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months of custodial experience
Ability to work night shift from 10 pm to 6 am
Required to work weekends
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to operate mechanical floor care equipment
Ability to follow safety procedures
Ability to comply with security and building access protocols
Willingness to work flexible schedule including holidays
Ability to stand or walk continuously and perform physical tasks
Ability to pass required PPE utilization and fit tests
Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
Essential personnel designation with ability to respond to emergencies

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Floor technician training desired
Knowledge of floor finishes, applications and removals
Knowledge of floor care equipment
Knowledge of mechanical equipment used at site
Six months of floor technician experience preferred
Previous experience operating machinery preferred
Six months of custodial experience
Ability to follow detailed equipment maintenance programs
Ability to comply with safety and environmental requirements
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to report problems and provide information
Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment properly
Good attendance and reliability

Job Duties

Comply with all agency policies and contract specifications
Comply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards
Clean all assigned areas according to contract specifications
Prepare areas before assignment by removing loose objects
Use and maintain equipment following safety and manufacturer guidelines
Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing
Operate floor care machines such as scrubbers, buffers, and dry vacuums
Conduct specific high cleaning projects at BWI Airport complex including walls and signage
Use Clorox 360 sprayers and other disinfecting equipment appropriately
Perform emergency cleaning as required
Assist with inventory and general custodial duties
Maintain records and provide reports as requested
Follow all safety rules and security procedures including BWI SIDA access
Move furniture and equipment to access cleaning areas
Mix and measure chemicals safely
Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment before and after use
Empty and clean machines after use
Report equipment issues promptly
Attend training and follow company policies
Work weekends and flexible schedules as required
Adhere to building security and workplace rules
Lift and carry heavy objects safely up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
