Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous houseman or supervisor experience preferred
  • Availability to work overnight shifts Monday through Sunday
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
  • Must be able to handle last-minute event changes and guest requests
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Must comply with company safety policies including the use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a houseman or supervisor preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Proficiency with computer systems for registration and payment processing
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and emergency situations professionally
  • Basic math skills for payment and balancing receipts

Job Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of all banquet spaces before each event to confirm proper setup as per BEO specifications
  • Ensure tables, chairs, staging, audiovisual equipment, and other event elements are arranged correctly
  • Coordinate with the Banquet Set-Up team to make real-time adjustments as necessary
  • Work closely with the Banquet Manager and Operations team to address any discrepancies in room sets
  • Act as a point of contact for any last-minute changes, ensuring immediate resolution
  • Complete the registration/check-in process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system confirming pertinent information
  • Assist guests with check out payments or charges
  • Provide guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities
  • Field and resolve guest complaints or escalate for resolution
  • Maintain adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk
