Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles and 25 years old to operate shuttle or drive guests
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable driving experience with similar vehicles
  • No positive drug or alcohol tests including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion
  • Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 36 months
  • No DUI convictions within the past 5 years
  • No vehicular homicide, manslaughter, assault, or reckless driving convictions
  • No operating vehicles with suspended or revoked licenses or in commission of felonies
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and reach for extended periods
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Azul Hospitality standards
  • Adherence to attendance and punctuality policies
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with outstanding organizational abilities
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company insurance requirements
  • Self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • Inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets when possible
  • Offer information about available services, facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
  • Store guest luggage and assist with loading and unloading into and out of vehicles
  • Call taxis for guests upon request
  • Prepare and maintain tour and delivery paperwork, supervise group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries, and complete daily paperwork
  • Maintain the check-in station's appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness
  • Assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • Promote a positive working environment and adhere to guidelines in the employee handbook
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of valet stand, driveway, bell closet, and bell carts
  • Safely operate guest vehicles according to all traffic laws and company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
