Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of professional baking experience
  • Ability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • One plus years of professional baking experience preferably in bread, viennoiserie, or pastry production
  • Strong understanding of baking processes including proofing, fermentation, and lamination preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Team oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare, proof, and bake a variety of baked goods and viennoiserie following recipes and production guidelines
  • Execute baking schedules to ensure timely delivery of products without compromising quality
  • Monitor and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of baked goods
  • Safely operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and other baking equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
  • Identify and resolve problems during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness
