Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- Capability to perform hand use motions such as single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing) to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in both wet and dry conditions
- Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require the use of ladders
Job Qualifications
- No prior retail experience required
- Knowledge of assigned team’s product preparation, display, storage, and stocking standards
- Understanding of spoilage and supply waste impact on profits
- Passion for cleanliness
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to deliver information respectfully to Team Members, customers, and vendors
- Ability to meet customer service standards in all interactions

Job Duties
- Prepares products for display and sale including cutting fruits and vegetables, measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials per recipes, forming food items into shapes and sizes, labeling, dating, covering, and rotating products
- Ensures product quality meets Whole Foods Market guidelines
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of merchandising areas, walk-ins, freezers, and food preparation zones
- Arrives on time, properly groomed, dressed, and ready to work scheduled shifts
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly, models suggestive selling, answers phones and pages courteously
- Maximizes sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising
- Follows and complies with health, safety, food safety, and regulatory procedures
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accuracy of signage and pricing
- Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- Performs other duties as directed by store, regional, or national leadership
