Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One plus year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
  • Ability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays
  • Strong time management skills
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • One plus year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
  • Strong understanding of baking processes including proofing and fermentation preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage time effectively in high-volume fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays as needed
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare proof and bake a variety of breads following established recipes and guidelines
  • Execute baking schedules to ensure timely product readiness without compromising quality
  • Monitor and maintain consistency in taste texture and presentation across baked goods
  • Safely operate mixers ovens proofers and other baking equipment
  • Maintain a clean organized and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
  • Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
  • Identify and address baking process issues to ensure quality and timeliness
