Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
- Ability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays
- Strong time management skills
- Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- One plus year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
- Strong understanding of baking processes including proofing and fermentation preferred but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively in high-volume fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work early mornings weekends and holidays as needed
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Job Duties
- Prepare proof and bake a variety of breads following established recipes and guidelines
- Execute baking schedules to ensure timely product readiness without compromising quality
- Monitor and maintain consistency in taste texture and presentation across baked goods
- Safely operate mixers ovens proofers and other baking equipment
- Maintain a clean organized and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
- Work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
- Identify and address baking process issues to ensure quality and timeliness
