Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in professional baking preferred
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- availability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am
- physical stamina to handle lifting and standing for long hours
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
Job Qualifications
- 1+ year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
- strong understanding of baking processes including proofing and fermentation preferred but not required
- ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- a team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
- effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
Job Duties
- Prepare, proof, and bake a variety of breads following established recipes and production guidelines
- execute baking schedules to ensure all products are ready for delivery on time without compromising quality
- monitor and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all baked goods
- safely operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and other baking equipment
- maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
- work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
- identify and address any issues during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness
