Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in professional baking preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • availability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am
  • physical stamina to handle lifting and standing for long hours
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of professional baking experience preferably in naturally leavened doughs
  • strong understanding of baking processes including proofing and fermentation preferred but not required
  • ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • a team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
  • effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare, proof, and bake a variety of breads following established recipes and production guidelines
  • execute baking schedules to ensure all products are ready for delivery on time without compromising quality
  • monitor and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all baked goods
  • safely operate mixers, ovens, proofers, and other baking equipment
  • maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace adhering to hygiene and safety standards
  • work closely with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production goals efficiently
  • identify and address any issues during the baking process to ensure quality and timeliness
