Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over six months to one year of related experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform physical activities including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts
- Ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over six months to one year of similar or related experience
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to perform arithmetic involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to copy data, interview for information, guide people, and provide basic direction
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance shopping experience
- Answers telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service including taking product orders
- Checks daily orders and sets production schedules
- Prepares make up, bakes, and fries all department products as needed
- Reviews product freshness and pulls items by stale date
- Invoices and organizes product as instructed by department manager
- Anticipates product needs for current and future days
- Inspects incoming product quality and quantity
- Understands bakery equipment use and follows up on maintenance
- Checks signage for correct labels
- Reviews department for safety hazards
- Operates as a lead with bakery clerks
- Prioritizes customer and manager requests for orders
- Proofs items as necessary
- Pulls product from freezer or cooler
- Practices proper sanitation and maintains clean work areas
- Adheres to hygiene, dress, company policies, and punctuality requirements
- Orders supplies as directed
- Re-merchandises shelves and discards outdated products
- Writes department schedules and supervises employees in manager’s absence
- Assists in other store areas as needed
- Performs other job related duties and special projects
