Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
- Three years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or related job duties
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- Residency within the H-GAC region of service
- Commitment to excellence in regional service
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating conferences, trade shows, or large-scale events
- Basic graphic design skills with ability to create marketing materials
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to conferences and events
- Strong organizational skills managing multiple projects
- Ability to analyze outreach data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements
- Knowledge of social media platforms for outreach and engagement
- Proficiency with outreach and CRM software/tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of conferences and events across the United States including booth reservations, sponsorships, speaking opportunities
- Coordinate event logistics such as shipping, promotional inventory, and booth setup
- Support staff attending and hosting events by providing necessary resources, schedules, and talking points
- Oversee lead capture and follow-up processes to measure event outcomes and ROI
- Serve as primary contact for vendors, partners, and staff involved in events
- Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders including government officials and vendors
- Plan, coordinate, and lead outreach events, workshops, and training sessions
- Represent H-GAC at conferences, trade shows, and industry events delivering presentations and networking
- Create visually compelling outreach materials using graphic design skills
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns
- Track and analyze outreach efforts and report on effectiveness
- Conduct research to identify new outreach opportunities and partnerships
- Monitor and evaluate outreach program effectiveness and adjust as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends, procurement regulations, and best practices
- Perform additional job duties as assigned to support department objectives
