Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • two years of related work experience preferred
  • skills in data entry, database maintenance, filing, basic math, and clerical tasks
  • effective prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • professional manner with staff, consumers, public, and volunteers
  • flexible work schedule when needed
  • valid Kansas driver’s license and access to personal vehicle preferred

Job Duties

  • Answers telephone in a prompt, courteous manner
  • checks clients in for their scheduled appointments
  • manages appointment status appropriately
  • requests and collects payment for services
  • validates existing client data by updating electronic health record
  • ensures high level of quality service
  • operates as a team with co-workers
  • informs management of unusual issues affecting client satisfaction
  • works with office manager to maintain department facilities
  • scans and attaches documents maintaining confidentiality
  • performs opening and closing procedures
  • assists clients completing intake and financial forms
  • enters required data for new clients
  • ensures patient records are accurate and complete
  • performs office manager duties in their absence
  • assists in training team members
