Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years of clerical or healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility to travel between sites and cover shifts as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in clerical or healthcare environment
  • Experience with insurance verification processes
  • Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and patient families
  • Ability to function independently or under supervision as task requires
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexible availability to cover shifts and travel between locations as needed

Job Duties

  • Answering telephone calls and transferring to appropriate destinations
  • Greeting patients
  • Collecting required documentation, copays, deductibles, or payment of services prior to treatment
  • Documenting and balancing daily collection totals
  • Performing daily insurance verifications as needed
  • Monitoring entrances and exits of visitors, patients, and families
  • Handling various clerical functions as assigned by Manager and/or Director
