Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel, restaurant, or a related field
- A 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- A 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience is required
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Effective at handling workplace problems including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems
- Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and consider adjusting or modifying to meet all needs
- Effective at listening to understand, clarify, and resolve concerns and issues
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and basic math functions

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling requirements
- Meet and communicate with Director of Food & Beverage weekly
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming per brand standards
- Always comply with standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations
- Comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Assist Director of Food and Beverage with personnel documentation
- Ensure training of all Food and Beverage personnel using effective training standards
- Maintain follow-through of all guest requests, problems, complaints and accidents
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline Food and Beverage staff according to company SOPs
- Review staff worked hours for payroll compilation
- Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on a rotational basis
- Prepare and conduct Food and Beverage interviews with HR department
- Prepare employee shift schedules according to business forecasts and budgets
- Ensure wage progress and productivity reports are completed accurately and on time
- Implement all policies and house rules
- Assist in developing and implementing Food and Beverage promotional ideas
- Ensure all beverage costs meet budget
- Focus the Food and Beverage department on guest service scores
- Maintain company policies regarding purchase orders, invoices, and accounting
- Develop and promote sales including upselling programs
- Maintain service standards throughout the Food and Beverage department
- Participate in Manager-on-Duty coverage as scheduled
- Initiate all required F&B reports
- Ensure that employees are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous
- Conduct quarterly operating equipment inventories and plan purchases
- Maintain credit policies
- React to negative market trends by implementing promotions
- Organize and conduct monthly department meetings
- Attend leadership meetings as requested
- Conduct monthly beverage inventories and reconciliations
- Ensure quality and presentation of all food products as per brand standards
- Promote open communication with managers and other departments
- Use POS system to print and analyze reports
- Establish and maintain key control system
- Monitor all Food and Beverage cash overages and shortages
- Assist in maintaining emergency procedures
- Maintain organized filing systems
- Complete correspondence timely
- Attend all-employee meetings and required functions
- Ensure professional communication with guests and staff
- Provide motivational influence and seek input from employees
- Ensure positive communication between Food & Beverage and Food Production staff
- Perform POS menu changes
- Oversee daily bar functions and service consistency
- Create and update beverage menus based on trends and feedback
- Oversee inventory and implement waste reduction
- Ensure adherence to alcohol service policies and health standards
- Train bar and service staff on product knowledge and upselling
- Conduct tastings, recipe checks, and audits
- Handle lost and found items
- Maintain required stock pars
- Review food sales daily
- Perform duties as requested by Director of F&B or General Manager
