Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least two years post-high school education
  • minimum two years related work experience
  • hotel experience preferred
  • ability to supervise and manage a team
  • knowledge of federal, state and local food service and safety regulations
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to plan and organize work
  • availability to work varied shifts
  • compliance with company policies
  • ability to respond to customer needs promptly

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of post-high school education
  • two plus years of full employment in a related position
  • hotel experience preferred
  • thorough knowledge of restaurant and hotel practices and procedures
  • supervision, management, and communication skills
  • ability to investigate and analyze activities or information and make logical conclusions and recommendations
  • knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, security, safety programs, personnel and labor relations, business plan preparation, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning
  • leadership skills to motivate and develop staff
  • ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate
  • written communication skills that are concise, well organized, complete, and clear
  • ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
  • effective verbal and written communication skills with adaptability for different audiences

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods
  • direct the day-to-day operations of the bar operations
  • manage the human resources in the various outlets including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, coaching, and conducting performance and salary reviews
  • implement company programs and manage operations to ensure compliance with LSOPs, SOPs, safety and federal, state and local regulations
  • forecast, monitor, control and report on budgets including labor, food, beverage costs, and supplies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
  • respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance sales
  • create, recommend and implement promotions, displays, buffet presentations and ideas to capture more in-house guests and local market share
  • monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of areas and equipment to ensure quality service and compliance
  • comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
