Job Requirements

  • Must have at least two years culinary experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen
  • Must have minimum one year kitchen supervisory experience
  • Proven culinary skills and leadership ability
  • Ability to train staff to produce high volumes with quality
  • Familiar with batch and quantity cooking
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic math skills and adherence to recipes
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to write and perform prep lists
  • Work well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred
  • ServSafe Food Handler's certification required
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods with frequent bending and twisting
  • Ability to use culinary tools and sensory skills safely

  • Ability to write and perform daily prep lists and par sheets
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred
  • ServSafe Food Handler's certification required

Job Duties

  • Work as a supervisory chef by pulling shifts as needed
  • Supervise daily food preparation for assigned areas
  • Utilize a hands-on approach to training and developing kitchen staff
  • Lead operations by example
  • Instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • Prepare food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • Inspect and select high-quality food items for menu preparation
  • Maintain refrigeration, equipment, and storage cleanliness to comply with health regulations
  • Train associates on consistency in preparation, presentation, portion control and quality
  • Teach associates the importance of customer interaction and courteous problem-solving
  • Prep, stock and rotate line ensuring ample supply of products
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage cooking times and temperatures
  • Follow proper food storage procedures
  • Collaborate with wait staff to exceed guest expectations
  • Maintain clean work areas
  • Ensure operation complies with health regulations
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management
