Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of hospitality and barback or related experience
  • certifications for food, alcohol, and safety under Florida requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner
  • assist bartenders in setting up the bar for service including stocking liquor, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies
  • communicate with Front of House team members to ensure consistent guest service and needs are met
  • prepare and deliver ice to bartenders and maintain clean ice bins
  • monitor and replenish inventory of beverage and bar-related items during service
  • clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, and utensils according to hygiene standards
  • remove empty glasses, used napkins, and debris from bar tops and tables
  • assist with preparation of garnishes and drink ingredients
  • collaborate with bartenders to fulfill guest drink orders promptly and accurately
  • collect used glassware and utensils for washing and return cleaned items
  • empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling materials
  • support bartenders in providing exceptional guest service including refilling water glasses and assisting with guest inquiries
  • ensure glassware, bar tools, and equipment are clean and in good working condition
  • handle guest complaints gracefully seeking solutions
  • adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service
  • verify legal drinking age and refuse service to underage or intoxicated guests
  • recognize signs of intoxication and manage situations appropriately
  • collaborate with staff to maintain efficient bar operation
  • assist in training new barbacks and staff as needed
  • complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, locking doors
  • complete assigned side work
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • follow company safety and security policies and complete training
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
