Job Requirements
- Open availability to work evening shifts from 1 pm to 10 pm including weekdays and weekends
- Experience managing kitchen staff and culinary operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods and food safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assume the role of liaison between Harry's Place, Stewarding, and In Room Dining operations and culinary staff
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- May manage other key culinary leadership roles including supervisor and other less senior Sous Chefs
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
