Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
  • Must comply with all state, federal and corporate regulations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Be willing to assist and collaborate with coworkers as a team player
  • Have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards
  • Understand guest relations and etiquette
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
  • Ability to memorize, recite and promote menu items
  • Physically capable of transporting large trays weighing up to 30 lbs continuously throughout shift
  • Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Adapt communication style to suit different audiences including supervisors, coworkers, and the public

Job Duties

  • Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and restaurant promotions
  • Record order details from guests and confirm accuracy
  • Input orders into the Point of Sale system to communicate with the kitchen
  • Retrieve and deliver orders up to 30 lbs from kitchen, confirming accuracy and providing appropriate condiments
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Replenish beverages and check with guests for satisfaction
  • Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request
  • Operate Point of Sale procedures to pre-check orders and close out checks
  • Present checks to guests promptly
  • Comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
