Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • must hold a current Food Handler Card
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • basic math skills
  • basic English communication skills
  • must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle transactions
  • basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
  • sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware
  • basic English language proficiency to communicate with customers
  • ability to understand and apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to remember and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
  • requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce
  • maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables
  • receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • lock up and store all beverages, food and equipment
  • deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders
  • input orders into register and create checks for guests
  • perform general cleaning tasks
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested by supervisor
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
