Job Requirements
- Must hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of liquor regulations
- basic skills in food and beverage preparation
- ability to perform cash transactions accurately
- basic English proficiency
- ability to lift 30 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- must have manual dexterity
- must be available to work varying shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
- current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- basic mathematical skills for operating cash register and making change
- ability to write and complete requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
- basic English language skills for communication
- ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions
- ability to recall and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain proper set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- maintain stock and freshness of fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- handle cash transactions including receiving money, making change and verifying charges
- lock up beverages, food and equipment, secure cash deposits
- answer bar phone promptly and take accurate room service orders
- input orders into point-of-sale system and create guest checks
- perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
- follow fire prevention and emergency protocols
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as assigned
- assist other beverage personnel when needed
