Job Requirements

  • Must hold a current Food Handler Card
  • knowledge of liquor regulations
  • basic skills in food and beverage preparation
  • ability to perform cash transactions accurately
  • basic English proficiency
  • ability to lift 30 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • must have manual dexterity
  • must be available to work varying shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations
  • current Food Handler Card
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
  • basic mathematical skills for operating cash register and making change
  • ability to write and complete requisitions and vouchers
  • manual dexterity for garnishing and drink preparation
  • basic English language skills for communication
  • ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions
  • ability to recall and promote menu items
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • promote and document orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • maintain proper set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking supplies
  • maintain stock and freshness of fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
  • handle cash transactions including receiving money, making change and verifying charges
  • lock up beverages, food and equipment, secure cash deposits
  • answer bar phone promptly and take accurate room service orders
  • input orders into point-of-sale system and create guest checks
  • perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
  • adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
  • follow fire prevention and emergency protocols
  • utilize protective equipment
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as assigned
  • assist other beverage personnel when needed
