Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach, and bend
- Ability to move and handle merchandise up to 80 pounds
- Previous warehouse or retail stock experience preferred
- Availability to work daytime hours preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Must dress according to company policy
Job Qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Ability to assemble complex items like grills
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Current forklift certification a plus
- Bilingual Spanish verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 80 pounds
Job Duties
- Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as arranged by management
- Maintain your assigned department by keeping it clean, organized and fully stocked
- Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings
- Watch for shoplifters and take action in line with company policy to discourage shoplifting
- Actively participate in store communication and initiatives such as Communication Board, Daily Huddle, store contests
- Always be polite and attentive to customers, make eye contact and smile
- Always wear your radio and headset in order to effectively communicate with other associates or management
- Respond to Customer Coordinator questions as needed
- Assist customers with large or heavy items as needed
- Offer customers a red basket for their shopping use
- Keep the front and back of the store clean and organized
- Help customers to their car with large products and/or bagged goods
- Treat merchandise with care and concern at all times
