Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A driver’s license (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Prefer 1-year truck driving experience, but not necessary
- Background check required
- A clean drug test required
- Clean clearinghouse results required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
- System Transport tests tarp lifting during orientation
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A driver’s license
- Minimum of 4 months flatbed driving experience preferred
- Strong safety and driving record
- Ability to lift heavy tarps as required
- Effective communication skills
- Good time management and reliability
- Physically able to meet job demands without restrictions
Job Duties
- Operate flatbed trucks safely and efficiently on OTR routes
- Transport goods including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals
- Secure loads with tarps as required, including lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform
- Maintain compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations
- Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route progress and issues
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
