Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience on the airfield at O'Hare or any other major U.S. airport
- Possession of or ability to obtain a SIDA badge with hologram
- Valid driver's license is mandatory
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to drive on the airfield using company vehicle
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Able to work assigned schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Physical ability to perform tasks including walking bending lifting and pushing 50 plus pounds
Job Qualifications
- Experience working on the airfield at a major airport such as O'Hare
- Possession or ability to obtain a SIDA badge
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand flight menus and boarding bills
- Ability to operate company vehicles on the airfield after passing Ground Motor Vehicle Driving Test
- Proficiency in English communication both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality service in all aspects of flight
- Ensure flight is complete and fully prepared for departure in a timely fashion
- Ability to interface with flight crew displaying professionalism and knowledge
- Ability to comprehend flight menus and flight galley specifications
- Add or subtract meals for assigned flights as necessary including special and crew meals
- Add or subtract equipment for flights as necessary
- Ability to understand flight boarding bills
- Ability to conduct spec checks on finished product to ensure quality standards are met
- Ability to effectively communicate with managers coworkers and customer personnel
- Detail oriented strong teamwork and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in verbal and written English communication
