Job Requirements

  • Formal culinary school training or 3-5 years experience in high-volume production
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Solid proficiency in various cooking methods and use of cookware
  • Ability to use hands to handle cooking tools
  • Understanding of food hygiene standards and HACCP compliance
  • Ability to lift and push 50+ lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during 8+ hour shifts
  • Flexibility to react to changing priorities
  • Compliance with work rules and regulations
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Pass criminal background check and drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in high-volume institutional catering
  • Understanding of basic cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of different cutting techniques
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions from superiors
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English

Job Duties

  • Prepare and produce meals to meet airline customer requirements
  • Work closely with chefs and second cooks in culinary operations
  • Follow basic cooking techniques and cutting methods proficiently
  • Comply with food hygiene standards and HACCP compliance
  • Use cooking tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Lift and move heavy items exceeding 50 lbs
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work assigned schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
