Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- one year of experience as a Server or similar position at a 4-star hotel or restaurant required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- possession of Liquor Commission Card and alcohol awareness certification required
- preferred certification in liquor, wine, and food service
- CPR certification
- ability to lift 30 lbs safely
- ability to stand and walk for extended hours
- ability to endure physical movements
- must adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety standards
- strong multitasking ability
- proficiency with POS systems
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year experience as a Server or similar position at a 4-star hotel or restaurant
- certification from alcohol awareness program
- possession of Liquor Commission Card
- previous training in liquor, wine, and food service preferred
- CPR certification
- strong mathematical skills
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- good management and organizational skills
- knowledge of POS systems
- knowledge of federal and state health laws and safety codes
- able to maintain positive guest relations
- detail-oriented
- able to work effectively with diverse customers
Job Duties
- Anticipate guests' needs
- respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
- maintain positive guest relations
- be familiar with hotel services, features, and local attractions
- help resolve guest complaints
- meet with Manager on Duty to review assignments and business levels
- communicate changes to assignments during shifts
- organize setup, maintenance, and breakdown of assigned tables
- replenish supplies
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- maintain complete knowledge of menu items including preparation and ingredients
- make recommendations based on guest preferences
- maintain knowledge of wine, liquor, beers, and non-alcoholic selections
- adhere to state liquor laws
- organize food and beverage orders
- ensure orders are accurately entered in POS
- deliver orders timely
- organize guest checks with Cashiers
- ensure proper settlement of checks before guest departure
- handle wares carefully to prevent breakage
- report damages and safety hazards
- adhere to health department, sanitation, and safety regulations
- perform other assigned duties
