Job Requirements
- Minimum two years prior experience as a bartender or bar back
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Two years experience as a cashier in a similar property
- Alcohol awareness program certification
- Ability to anticipate guest needs
- Ability to maintain positive guest relations
- Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage service standards
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to reach 6 feet
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to maintain stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable temperature and noise conditions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years prior experience as a bartender or bar back
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Prior restaurant service and guest relations experience preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Two years experience as a cashier in similar property
- Certification from alcohol awareness program
- Certification in liquor, wine and food service preferred
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of beverage brands and menu items
- Strictly abide by state liquor regulations
- Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas
- Follow all department policies and service standards
- Prepare drinks consistently according to recipes
- Perform opening and closing duties including inventory and cash handling
- Operate POS system for order taking and payment processing
- Communicate effectively with guests and management
- Complete required reports and documentation
- Answer outlet telephone with professional etiquette
