Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests
- Ability to handle and transport medical supplies and equipment safely
- Familiarity with AAMI sanitation standards
- Willingness to perform biohazard waste disposal
- Ability to work cooperatively within a healthcare team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Relevant work experience less than 1 year
- Intermediate customer service skills
- Knowledge of surgical equipment
- Basic understanding of sterilization preparation
- Ability to follow safety and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services
- Assists in preparing patient rooms for procedures including cleaning services, sanitation, removing supplies/equipment, and transporting special equipment and supply needs based on AAMI standards
- Delivers sterile supplies and equipment to the Operating Room
- May remove solid and/or biohazard trash
- Ensures instrumentation, supplies, and specialty equipment is delivered and available for scheduled procedures
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in hospital and patient areas
- Assists with any additional duties as assigned
