Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests
- Ability to adhere to safety and infection control standards
- Capability to transport medical equipment and supplies as required
- Basic knowledge of sterilization and surgical instruments
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
- Intermediate customer service skills
- Fundamental awareness of sterilization preparation
- Intermediate knowledge of surgical equipment and related devices
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services
- Assists in preparing patient rooms for procedures including cleaning, sanitation, removing supplies/equipment and transporting special equipment and supply needs based on AAMI standards
- May remove solid and/or biohazard trash
- Delivers sterile supplies and equipment to the Operating Room
- Ensures instrumentation, supplies, and specialty equipment are delivered and available for scheduled procedures
- Performs general cleaning tasks within and outside of patient rooms
- Handles equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
