Job Description

We are an optometry office located inside Costco on Raleigh Road in San Jose, California. Although we operate within the Costco premises, we are an independent practice, providing specialized eye care and customer service to the local community. Our office prides itself on delivering professional and compassionate care to our patients, ensuring they receive the best vision solutions in a friendly and efficient environment. Our team members work closely together to maintain a welcoming atmosphere, managing appointments, assisting with optical products, and supporting patient needs throughout their visit.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to commute to San Jose, CA 95119
  • Willing to relocate to San Jose before starting work
  • Available to work part-time approximately 1.5 days per week
  • Willing to work Tuesday and Thursday all day and Monday and Wednesday 2-6pm
  • Must be able to fill in occasionally to cover other receptionists
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work in-person during business hours Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in medical or optometry office preferred but not required
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Reliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Answering phones and greeting patients
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Managing patient check-ins and check-outs
  • Assisting with optical measurements and patient records
  • Handling administrative tasks and maintaining office organization
  • Coordinating with team members for smooth office operations
  • Covering shifts as needed for other receptionists
