Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven culinary background with experience in seafood preferred
  • leadership experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 10 years of progressive culinary experience preferred
  • 5 years of senior management experience required
  • demonstrated passion for sustainable seafood
  • strong leadership and team development skills
  • experience in menu planning and food costing
  • ability to foster an educational work environment
  • excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • lead culinary team and direct kitchen operations including production and prep
  • manage special events and oversee purchasing and receiving
  • review and evaluate daily guest feedback for continuous improvement
  • oversee menu changes and educate culinary and service staff
  • engineer seasonal specials and event menus
  • direct food production and plating during service
  • train line cooks and cost menus to meet budget goals
