Job Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years general work experience including 1 year's optical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws regulations and/or rules

Job Duties

  • Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing proper signing and in stock and inventory levels
  • Model enforce and provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques to ensure customer needs complaints and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines and standards
  • Oversee implementation of and participate in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community
  • Ensure compliance with company and legal policies procedures and regulations for the Vision Center including asset protection and safety controls
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates in the Vision Center by hiring training mentoring assigning duties and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Ensure provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members Customers selecting products based on Member Customer needs obtaining measurements verifying prescriptions maintaining confidential information and performing minor frame repair
  • Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates listening to concerns researching issues reviewing policies and suggesting resolutions
  • Coordinate complete and oversee job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders supporting plans and initiatives meeting goals building accountability and measuring progress
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission values and ethics by implementing related action plans and providing guidance in executing business processes
