Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience as package handler or supervisor in related environment
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Competency with Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Ability to analyze data and operational reports

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in variable temperature and noisy environments

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses considered
- Six months experience in package handling, fast-paced environments, military service with honorable discharge, or supervisory experience

- Strong business judgment to establish and meet goals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Serve as a champion for FedEx's Safety Above All culture and support all related initiatives
- Manage responsibilities including hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and rewards, performance evaluation and management, discipline, addressing employee concerns and staff productivity
- Plan, organize, staff, direct and control specific day-to-day operations
- Assign and manage employees to ensure safe and efficient package sortation, minimize operational costs and maximize operational quality, including trailer movement and administration
- Analyze operational performance through observation, report interpretation and collaboration
- determine improvement opportunities and execute action plans
- Lead daily employee and planning meetings to communicate operational updates and daily goals
- Participate in the development and administration of employee relations and safety strategies and programs
- Investigate, resolve or escalate customer service issues
- Train new employees on job duties, performance expectations and compliance with policies
- Mentor and develop critical skills for new or less-experienced supervisors
- Adapt quickly to business changes while leading employees positively
- Perform other duties as assigned
