Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and assist with heavier objects
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to operate trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, chainsaws, and related maintenance equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
  • Successfully complete background screening as position of special trust
  • Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience operating trucks, tractors, and grounds maintenance equipment including chainsaws and mowers
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Clear communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to prepare reports accurately
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize visitor needs
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with heavier objects

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors at park entrance and provide information about the park and activities
  • Collect fees for park entrance and annual passes
  • Operate point-of-sale cash registers and reconcile revenue
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities, restrooms, grounds, parking areas, and equipment
  • Assist in resource management tasks including exotic plant and animal control, fire line preparation, and prescribed burns
  • Handle phone and two-way radio communications effectively
  • Prepare and assist in completing various reports
