Job Requirements
- High school diploma, or its equivalent, and one year of relevant experience
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security and/or customer service role
- ability to work as part of a team and project a positive attitude
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- experience working and communicating with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- knowledge of basic first aid, or CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests to the museum
- interact with all visitors and staff of the museum in a professional and positive manner
- provide excellent customer service and provide general and directional information to guests
- perform routine patrol of galleries and public spaces
- monitor guest compliance with museum policies and report non-compliance through verbal and written communication
- provide front desk coverage on an as-needed basis
- provide escorts as needed to secure areas within the museum
- assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, chairs, and tables for museum activities
- practice de-escalation techniques when dealing with aggressive or disruptive behavior
- other duties as assigned
